Mission Statement

The mission of the Digital Cartography and Precinct Demographics Section is to serve as a repository for maps of record, to assist governmental units with redistricting and reprecincting, and to provide reliable, efficient, and effective Geographic Information Processing services to all of South Carolina.

The vision of the Digital Cartography Section is to act as a clearinghouse for digital geographic information, to strive to develop and implement innovative methods of geographic information processing, and to improve the delivery and distribution of public services making government better.
